Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) investigators arrested a 32-year-old Vidor man suspected of drug possession after they reportedly found discarded methamphetamine on the ground at the man's feet following a traffic stop Aug. 15.

Two people were arrested in Vidor Aug. 15 following a months-long sting operation into methamphetamine distribution in the area, reports Orange County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigator Janois Strause Grizzaffi.

July 21, 2018 at approximately 7:18 a.m. the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force and the sheriff’s SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 7064 Hillebrandt Road in Beaumont.

The Narcotics Task Force had been conducting an investigation in reference to methamphetamine being sold from inside the residence. The Task Force also received information that stolen property was inside the residence.

Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) deputies arrested two Vidor men on multiple warrants and then reportedly found methamphetamine in their vehicle after a traffic stop July 16.

Criminal Investigator and Public Information Office Janois Strause Grizzaffi reports detectives working along Interstate 10 near Concord in Vidor observed a white 2002 Ford F250 change lanes without first signaling its intent. The vehicle was then observed to travel in and out of its lane of traffic on several occasions. A traffic stop was initiated as the truck exited Interstate 10 at Highway 1442.

Wednesday, June 6, at 2:04 a.m., Jefferson County deputies stopped a vehicle with Idaho license plates at mile marker 845 eastbound on Interstate 10 for a number of traffic violations. Deputies noticed that the stories of the two occupants did not match, and they were both overly nervous. Deputies asked for consent to search the vehicle, but the driver refused.

Port Neches police were called to the scene with a drug detection canine whose positive alert provided probable cause for a search of the vehicle.

Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 3:30 p.m., Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force Investigators were conducting narcotics surveillance when they stopped a black Chevrolet truck near the area of Jimmy Johnson and Ninth Avenue in Port Arthur. The K-9 Narcotics Dog from Port Neches PD assisted on the traffic stop. After a positive alert to drugs, a search of the vehicle was conducted and drugs were found. Two male subjects, 37-year-old Chad Dubois of Port Arthur and 35-year-old Carlos Valerio of Beaumont, were arrested.

May 14 around 11 p.m., deputies with the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force were conducting surveillance on a known meth dealer when they stopped a green Honda passenger car on Highway 73 near Big Hill. The two occupants were identified as Jose Hugo White and Buster Hawk Kay. White, the owner of the car, gave deputies consent to search the vehicle. Deputies discovered 28.33 grams of meth concealed under the hood. A loaded Taurus revolver was located inside the car. Both White and Kay are convicted felons.

During a traffic stop May 5, Pinehurst police arrested an Orange resident after discovering drug paraphernalia and a large quantity of methamphetamine ineptly hidden in a latex glove tucked away inside Cheetos bag, reports Chief Fred Hanauer.
