Port Arthur Police located a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his leg/thigh area near the Pebble Creek Apartments in the 4200 block of Jimmy Johnson Boulevard. 

According to a press release from PAPD, the victim told Police that he was robbed of personal property at gunpoint while exiting a vehicle.  After surrendering his property, he was then shot by the one or more suspects.

A 46-year-old man was found on the ground near his truck in the 1900 block of 18th street with a gunshot to the leg by Port Arthur Police Department the night of Thursday, Nov. 9.

William Webb, 21 of Orange, was arrested by Orange Co. Sheriff’s deputies and charged with Aggravated Robbery.  He was charged after shooting out the front door of the Dollar General store located at FM 1442, near I-10, on the night of Oct. 11.  He’d entered the building while employees hid, but left without taking anything.  Webb was found after a search later that evening.

At approximately 9:16 p.m. on Oct. 12, Port Arthur Police responded to  a report of a robbery at 1039 Ninth Ave.    

According to a statement from PAPD, officers responded and discovered that two subjects had entered the business armed with handguns and robbed the clerk. The subjects fled with an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident. The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division.

Oct. 11, a man shot through the door of the Dollar General on FM 1442 near I-10, as employees barricaded themselves in another room of the store. The man entered the store but fled shortly thereafter. Video showed the man wearing a mask and a camo shirt, a pistol in one hand and some sort of blunt object in his other hand.

According to a statement from the Beaumont police, on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 1:07 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated robbery in progress at the Major Dr. Food Mart (870 S.Major). Three young black males, two with handguns, robbed the clerk and fled with money and cigarettes. A witness told officers the suspects were last seen getting in a dark vehicle and headed west on Landis. While officers were on the scene, another witness gave officers additional suspect vehicle information.

On Sunday, Oct. 7 at approximately 6:45 a.m., Officers with the Port Arthur Police Department responded to an aggravated robbery that just occurred at the M&D Grocery located at 1701 Memorial Boulevard. A male black suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money.  The suspect then fled on foot and was unable to be located.  The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating this incident.

Jeremiah Markeith Washington

Beaumont Police Detectives are asking for help in locating a person of interest in the robberies of Cigarette and More that occurred Sunday, September 16.

According to a statement by BPD, the person of interest is Jeremiah Markeith Washington, an 18-year-old Beaumont man. If anyone knows where BPD can locate Jeremiah they are asked to call the Beaumont Police Department at (409) 832-1234. The Orange County Sheriff's Office is looking for help in identifying two burglary suspects. According to an announcement from the Orange County Sherriff’s Office, the two suspects are both white males who are suspected of entering a residence at 5780 N. Main in Vidor in the early morning of August 30 and removing property. Items stolen include antique signs, movies, toys and even an antique bicycle.
