The Golden Triangle Big Band will perform a free Memorial Day concert at the Jefferson Theatre on Wednesday, May 24, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., followed. By a 7 p.m. start time. The concert will feature classic big band tunes, patriotic music and more.

The band includes Andre Harness (sax), Isaiah Perez (sax), Gavin Lopez (sax), Devyn Drake (sax), Dakota Crespo (sax), Carl Woodall (trombone), Devionne Jones (trombone), Jake Farmer (trombone), Austin Munoz (trombone), Eric Diaz (trumpet), John Chappell (trumpet), Ty Bodin (trumpet), Ty Nguyen (trumpet), Andrew Segrest (piano), Keith Ruggles (guitar), Adrian Segovia (bass) and Jason Benitez (drums).

Big band is a style of music defined by an ensemble of musicians, known as a jazz orchestra, playing together. Big band music includes complex harmonies and syncopated rhythms. A vocalist or instrumental soloist is often featured, adding a melody on top of the jazz orchestra.
