R&B singing sensation Keith Sweat will perform at the Grand Event Center inside the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m. Tickets for the 21 and older show are $30-$50 and can be purchased online at goldennugget.com.

From Harlem, New York, Sweat began singing in 1975 then struck gold as a solo artist in 1987 with his debut album that sold more than 3 million copies thanks to hits like “I Want Her,” “Make It Last Forever” and “Don’t Stop Your Love.”

The success didn’t stop there. Sweat went on to release dozens of No. 1 hits including “Merry Go Round,” “I’ll Give All My Love to You,” “Keep It Comin’,” “Twisted” and “Nobody.”

His music clearly started the New Jack Swing music era, which helped the careers of Guy, Boyz II Men, Bell Biv Devoe, Tony! Toni! Toné!, En Vogue, Blackstreet, Al B. Sure, Teddy Riley, Babyface and dozens more.
