The St. Michael Orthodox Church invites the community to partake in their 15th annual St. Michael Mediterranean Festival set for Saturday, May 6, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on the church grounds at 690 N. 15th Street in Beaumont.

The Mediterranean Festival will feature authentic food and entertainment throughout the day. Booths will be set up at the bazaar, including ethnic clothing, jewelry, spices and more, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultures of the Mediterranean. Church tours will be held during the festival hours, allowing festival-goers to explore the architecture and faith of the Orthodox church. A children’s area will be available with arts and crafts and a petting zoo.

A portion of festival proceeds will benefit United Way of Beaumont and North Jefferson County, an organization who grants critical funds for 36 local programs to 20 area nonprofits, helping families, children, adults and seniors in our community.

“It is an honor to have been selected as this year’s charity recipient for the Mediterranean Festival,” said John Rollins, public relations and community impact director for United Way. “United Way is only able to thrive because of the generous support of community partners and donors, so our heartfelt thanks goes to St. Michael Orthodox Church for locking arms with our organization to give back to our neighbors in need.”

The event will take place rain or shine. For more information, view stmichaelmedfestbmt.com.
