Beaumont Animal Care is continuing the Christmas tradition with its Holiday Heroes program, aimed towards getting the public more involved in the adoption of BAC cats and dogs. The only thing on the shelter pet’s list this year is a happy home, and BAC is calling on residents to make that possible by being a Holiday Hero.
Participants pick a cat or dog ornament from the Christmas tree in the lobby and spend some time getting to know the adoptable pet’s personality. Snap a few photos and videos of the fuzzy adorableness and post to social media to reel in a good match for both the adoptee and adopter.
Whoever adopts an animal from the Holiday Hero program will be able to take their ornament home as a keepsake. Those interested in being a Holiday Hero and helping a shelter cat or dog find their family in time for the holidays have until Dec. 23 to make the connection.
