Beaumont ISD closes campus due to COVID

In a letter forwarded to parents Sunday, the Beaumont Independent School District (BISD) announced the closure of King Middle School due to a COVID outbreak in students and staff. The campus will be closed the entire week of Aug. 23-27.

“This decision is in the best interest of the students, families and staff of King Middle School,” the letter penned by campus principal Julia Rich stated.
