Jefferson County is anticipating heavy rainfall today through Thursday, according to spokesperson Allison Nathan Getz. Residents are encouraged to be cautious when traveling and advised to remember: “Turn around, don’t drown.”

Additionally, residents are urged to use the site iSTAT, https://damage.tdem.texas.gov/, to self-report damages to homes or businesses. The objective of this survey is to identify damages and support emergency management officials across the state gaining an understanding of damages that have occurred during the recent severe weather event.

Within the survey, you will have the opportunity to upload photos of your damages. Getz reminds to ensure photos are clear and depict disaster related damages.

Reporting damages to Emergency Management is a voluntary activity, is not a substitute for reporting damage to an insurance agency and does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.
