Couple sought for fast food assault
About a month after a vicious assault at a Beaumont eatery, police are looking for a couple that assaulted a 64-year-old man in a Whataburger drive-thru on Sunday, Jan. 17, at approximately 1 a.m.
According to Beaumont police, the assault began in the Whataburger drive-thru at 140 S. Dowlen. The victim received multiple injuries due to the subjects striking him until he fell before then stomping and stepping on the fallen man. The driver removed a gun from under his seat and placed it in his waistband. He did not display this weapon during the assault.
The couple was in a white BMW, no front plate.
