A Hardin County man was arrested on Sept. 19 on a drug charge and warrant, according to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Bryan Weatherford reported Kale Burrows, 28, of Lumberton, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and for an active warrant for failing to appear in court on a failure to identify a fugitive charge.

According to the sheriff, deputies were patrolling the Warren area and stopped a GMC Yukon, driven by Burrows, for a traffic violation on U.S. 69. Deputies discovered Burrows had an active warrant in Hardin County.

During the search of the GMC, deputies found several drug paraphernalia items and a plastic bag containing field-tested methamphetamine.

Burrows was taken and booked in the Tyler County Jail. Justice of the Peace Ford Trisher set his bond at $4,500.
