An Orange man died in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 73 Saturday afternoon after he was reportedly rear-ended by another driver who fell asleep behind the wheel.

At approximately 1 p.m. Aug. 15, a 2009 Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the outside lane on Highway 73. According to Trooper Stephanie Davis, it is believed that the driver of the Ford pickup truck fell asleep at the wheel and rear-ended a 2010 Dodge pickup truck. The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to drive off the roadway and roll over.

A head-on collision in front of the DuPont Plant in Orange County sent three people to a Beaumont emergency room on Aug. 3, one of whom was flown to the hospital via medical helicopter due to the severity of injuries she sustained in the wreck, reports the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Louisiana man was found dead inside his vehicle after the car he was driving left the roadway and became submerged near Bridge City on Feb. 22, reports the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Interstate near the Goodyear plant is now open from earlier 18-wheeler crash.The driver, 39-year-old Eugene Singleton of Alabama, was not injured in the accident.

Two of four vehicles affected by an oil spill caused by a vehicle's faulty crankshaft collided after hitting the slick roadway on Interstate 10 West at Brush Island Road on Jan. 9 at about 3:50 p.m. causing the westbound lanes to close for hours, reports Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephanie Davis.

Two people were injured in an accident in Orange County after a driver veered into oncoming traffic in order to try to avoid an accident, reports the Texas Department of Public Safety.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, there was a two vehicle crash on US-96 that involved a Kirbyville CISD school bus and a truck tractor semi-trailer.  This crash occurred approximately four miles North of Kirbyville.  At the time of the crash, there were 53 students on the school bus.
