Two automobile accidents kept Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers busy Tuesday morning, August 4, the first resulting in a fuel leakage and prompting response by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as well as first responders' using the "jaws of life" to pull a Florida man from his vehicle.

Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a fatal accident Sunday night, June 29, DPS reports.

One person is dead as the result of a two-vehicle accident this morning, Trooper Stephanie Davis reports.

According to a news release from DPS, troopers were dispatched to West Port Arthur Road at South Garden Road in Jefferson County at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and more information will be released as it becomes available, Trooper Davis reports.

A young Silsbee man is dead as the result of a two-car collision on Sunday, April 20, DPS reports.

At the scene of a domestic disturbance, a troubled young woman was able to drive off in an unsecured police car and later crashed it on Highway 69, the Beaumont Police Department said in a press release Friday. She and an officer suffered minor injuries.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Fulton on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at 1:31 p.m. Two officers arrived on scene at different times. The disturbance was between a mother and daughter. The daughter, a mentally ill 21-year-old, was off her medication and out of control, according to the BPD press release.

An auto-pedestrian accident on Interstate 10 near Rose City on Feb. 17 claimed the life of one person, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) reports.
