One killed in auto-pedestrian fatality Dec. 29

The Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported a 30-year-old man was killed in an auto-pedestrian fatal crash in the 5900 block of College Street on Dec. 29.

On Dec. 30, police identified the victim as Justin Stanford. BPD reported that Stanford attempted to cross College Street and was hit by a Dodge Challenger. He died upon impact.

Police, fire and EMS responded to the call at 9:30 p.m. BPD reported all westbound lanes of College Street were closed while officers investigated the crash but were later reopen for traffic.
