Just after 11 p.m. Monday, June 7, officers with the City of Orange Police

Department responded to the scene of incidents surrounding the death of a 31-year-old Orange man found deceased in the roadway of Highway 62.

According to a report from the Orange Police Department, officers were first dispatched to the area of Highway 62 near FM 1078 in reference to a motorist assist. Moments later, officers were notified of a male subject walking in the roadway in the 4700 block of Highway 62 possible involved in an auto/pedestrian crash.

Upon officers’ arrival, the 31-year-old, white male pedestrian was found to be deceased in the roadway where witnesses last saw the “walking” subject.

The vehicle(s) involved were at the scene, police report. An autopsy was order by Judge Rodney Price. No arrests were reported.
