Officers with the Beaumont Police Department are investigating a homicide reported in the city’s north end.
According to a report from the police department, investigators were called to the 4400 block of Magnolia on Wednesday, June 16, at 2:46 a.m., in reference to a victim of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim in the middle of the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. Beaumont EMS arrived and pronounced the victim, identified as 53-year-old Claude McField of Beaumont, deceased.
Information obtained from a witness describes the suspect as a black male, approximately 5’10, with dreadlocks, wearing all black clothing.
