Port Arthur PD arrests pair of armed men

Dec. 7, officers with the Port Arthur Police Department Narcotics and Guns Unit followed up on a tip of suspected gang members armed with handguns hanging out in an apartment complex in the city.

The suspect vehicle, driven by a man identified as Nikolas Brentshawn Foreman, 22, was located. After observing a traffic violation, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Foreman failed to stop and tried to evade officers in the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was finally stopped and all occupants safely detained. Foreman was charged for evading with a motor vehicle and unlawfully carrying a weapon. A passenger of the vehicle, 18-year-old Korwin Anthony Thomas, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Officers confiscated from the vehicle two guns, one of which was an AR pistol.
