The Beaumont Foundation of America recently awared $75,000 to the Southeast Texas Food Bank to help strengthen its mission of feeding the hungry in Southeast Texas. The funds were specifically awarded to help improve access to nutritious food for low-income residents in underserved communities in the eight counties within the food bank’s service territory.

Suicide wings and a Santos

When Wings To Go made the move to Port Arthur in November 2015, many of the restaurant’s wing-loving regulars wondered how the new location would pan out for the franchise, which opened in Beaumont in 2002. Franchisee Danny Partin says he is happy to report that Wings To Go is better than ever in its new Port Arthur location, which has better parking, better traffic access, more seating room, and even a party room for special occasions.

A two-vehicle auto collision Thursday morning, Jan. 28 in Honey Island, has left one man dead and another injured.

At approximately 6 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of FM 1293 and FM 1003 in Hardin County.  The crash occurred in the small community of Honey Island.
