Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at approximately 9 p.m., Beaumont officers responded to the 2000 block of Sabine Pass in reference to an auto burglary in progress. The complainant was on the phone with dispatch and said five suspects were breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived in the area and located the five suspects. The suspects burglarized two vans belonging to the Charlton-Pollard Neighborhood Association and may be responsible for an auto theft at the same location the previous night, according to a BPD press release.

On Jan. 2 at 11:55 a.m., Port Arthur Police officers responded to the 3300 block of 27th Street in reference to an aggravated robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the 68 year old female victim and owner of the residence, PAPD Field Operations Division Ltn. Jeremy Lloyd reported.

Police in Beaumont arrested two teen adults and a juvenile Dec. 30 for organized criminal activity related to auto burglaries in a local neighborhood, reports Beaumont Police Department (BPD) Officer Haley Morrow.

Jefferson County prosecutor Tom Kelley said he was pleased with a jury’s decision to mete out swift justice in a case that afforded a decade behind bars for a Beaumont man who entered a former acquaintance’s home and tried to sexually assault the woman in front of her small child.

Street Crimes officers in Vidor investigating local burglaries arrested two people, one for a single warrant and the other for numerous warrants for a variety of charges, reports the Vidor Police Department (VPD).

Beaumont Police responded to a burglary at Mike's Drive In Grocery, 680 Buford Street, on Friday, Nov. 11 at 3:43 a.m., BPD PIO Officer Haley Morrow reports.

Officers responding to the scene discovered a vehicle, later determined as a white Chrysler Town & Country minivan, was used to ram the front doors of the business. Once entry was gained, the suspects unsuccessfully attempted to access an ATM. The suspects then burglarized the store and fled in the minivan.

Police in Beaumont arrested an 18-year-old suspect wanted on warrants related to three separate burglaries in the Gross Street neighborhood, reports Beaumont Police Department (BPD) Officer Haley Walters.

According to Walters, the warrants for Austin Davis’ arrest were issued Friday, Sept. 16. On Sept. 22, officers went to the 9100 block of Gross at about 2 p.m. to serve the warrants and took Davis into custody.

Davis was transported to the Jefferson County Jail. His bonds total $75,000.

A Beaumont woman was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on two counts of attempted burglary Sept. 9 after she allegedly tried to break into multiple residences, one occupied a woman and children, reports Officer Carol Riley of the Beaumont Police Department.

A woman in Vidor with an uninvited guest told police she asked the apparently intoxicated intruder to leave her residence several times, and he refused. When he exited but then tried to push his way back into her apartment, the woman said she was forced to display her handgun in order to keep the man at bay until police arrived.
