A teenage male has been arrested in connection with the June 4 homicide of 34-year-old Joshua Rogers, a crime originally reported a suspicious vehicle or possible crashed vehicle with an unresponsive driver in the 4000 block of Oak Grove Place. Beaumont police responding to the scene discovered instead that the driver, Rogers, had suffered a gunshot wound.

At approximately 7 p.m. June 10, Kuyler Jeanmard, 17, of Beaumont, was arrested in the 4800 block of Con- cord Road after Beaumont Police Department (BPD) detectives obtained a murder warrant in the Rogers case, according to police.

Jeanmard was arrested with the assistance of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobac- co, Firearms (ATF) special agents and numerous BPD officers, BPD reported, adding that security cameras, Crime Stoppers tips, tedious on-scene evi- dence collection, around-the-clock detective work and cooperation from the community was a major part in helping police obtain a murder warrant for the suspect.

Jeanmard was first interviewed and then booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and charged with murder.
