Registration open for annual S.A.L.T. Classic Fishing Tournament

The 49th annual S.A.L.T. Classic Fishing Tournament on Pleasure Island is July 19-21. Registration, $50, is open online at sabinesaltclub.net. Kids 16 and under can participate for free and registration is not required. There will also be a “Lady Angler” category. Deadline for entries in the tournament is Friday, July 19, at 5 p.m. 

The tournament will award prizes in multiple categories, both onshore and offshore. Bass entries will also be accepted in the tournament. More than $25,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded including a $1,000 grand prize drawing; seven lifetime fishing licenses for kids; trophies; and rod and reel combinations.
