It’s two nights of classic movies beginning with the 1993 comedy, “The Sandlot,” on Thursday, July 11, and the 1993 sci-fy action film, “Jurassic Park,” on Friday, July 12. Both start at 7 p.m. In “The Sandlot,” a new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his rowdy team, resulting in many adventures in 1962. It went on to become a cult classic. A pragmatic paleontologist touring an almost complete theme park on an island in Central America is tasked with protecting a couple of kids after a power failure causes the park’s cloned dinosaurs to run loose in “Jurassic Park.” The success led to five sequels, TV series, theme park attractions, comic books and merchandise.
