The Lutcher Theater will host two nights of the romantic and adventure-filled new musical, “Anastasia,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31.

From the Tony Award-winning creators of the Broadway classic “Ragtime,” this dazzling show transports patrons from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family.

Its popularity was made into a 1997 musical fantasy drama film that featured the voices of Meg Ryan, John Cusack, Kelsey Grammer, Christopher Lloyd and Hank Azaria.

Port Arthur native and Legacy Christian Academy graduate Glenn Alexander II will conduct both shows.

The Lutcher Theater is located at 707 Main Ave. in downtown Orange. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased online at lutcher.org or at the box office.
