Detectives with the Orange County Narcotics Division stopped a vehicle on FM 1442 near Interstate 10 and arrested a man on drug and firearm charges, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
OCSO Public Information Officer Holly Corley reported detective stops a vehicle on Oct. 19 after it was observed committing several traffic violations.
During the investigation, detectives asked the driver, Cebe Issac Guilbeaux, 41, for consent to search his vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located a large amount of methamphetamine along with two chemical-dispensing devices (CS Gas), which are prohibited weapons in the state, and a Keltec .380 handgun, which had the serial number removed, inside the vehicle, Corley stated.
Also inside the vehicle were numerous other weapons such as knives, machetes, restraint devices (i.e., handcuffs, chains, etc.), and metal batons.
Guilbeaux was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams (methamphetamine), a second-degree felony; possession of a prohibited weapon (chemical dispensing device (third-degree felony); and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (third-degree felony).
Corley added that detectives believe Guilbeaux to be a member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas (ABT) and responsible for distribution of controlled substances and weapons in the Mauriceville area.
“The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is committed to pursuing felons in Orange County who may be unlawfully in possession of firearms and controlled substances with the intent of distributing those items within our community,” said Corley.
