The City of Beaumont is still diligently working with our software vendor to get on a new platform for online water utility payments since the data breach on August 29.

Unfortunately, while working out what needs to be done to upgrade the system, Beaumont was hit by Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent flooding. Once we were back in the office and ready to work with the vendor again, they were hit with Hurricane Irma. They have yet to make it back into their offices, but anticipate that they will be able to make it back this week.

The City of Beaumont has been working diligently to pick up debris that has been put out for removal following Hurricane Harvey as quickly and safely as possible, city spokesperson Angela Wright said in a statement.

On Sept. 17 at 6:00 a.m. Beaumont Police received a call in reference to a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane of traffic in the 8300 block of Eastex Freeway, Sgt. Cody Guedry said in a release.

A U.S. Air Force Reserve C-130H Hercules with the 910th Airlift Wing

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO – The Air Force Reserve Command’s 910th Airlift Wing sprayed over one million acres since arriving in Texas Sept. 8 to start the mosquito control application in areas of eastern Texas assisting with Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.

The 910th operates the Department of Defense’s only large area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability to control pest insect populations, eliminate undesired, invasive vegetation and disperse oil spills in large bodies of water.
