The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested multiple suspects in separate burglaries plaguing a refinery, two convenience stores and the North Hardin Water Corporation.

“Each case is separate,” Sheriff Mark Davis said in a statement July 3.

April 26, the main office of the North Hardin Water Corporation, located on FM Highway 92, north of Silsbee, was burglarized. The suspects took property from inside and caused damage to the building.

Vidor City Manager Mike Kunst uses the city’s reinvestment zone map to describe

City Manager Mike Kunst and Vidor’s Planning and Zoning Commission are working on a plan to implement zoning in the city and, in preparation, are asking for public input on the matter and for information about businesses operating in residential neighborhoods around the city.

With the Pride and Progress initiative and other programs recently implemented to promote business and residential development in the city, Vidor is changing, said Kunst, and so are its needs.

Andrew, Kera and Alaya Teel

Thursday, July 6, the family of murder victims Kera and Kyndal Teel are entering into litigation against the apartment complex where the mother and her yet-unborn daughter fell victim to a gunman’s bullets.

Surviving family, Kera’s husband Andrew, and the couple’s daughter Alaya, are among the plaintiffs alleging owners of Beaumont’s Sienna Apartment Homes failed to maintain adequate security measures that could have deterred or prevented the death.


On Tuesday, June 27 at 6:58 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to the northbound service road in the 2100 block of Eastex Freeway, in reference to a major crash, Officer Haley Morrow reported.


Liberty Police made two arrests in reference to a late night assault that took place on June 30, according to a news release from the department. Police responded to the 5000 block of Briar Grove in the Ridgewood subdivision shortly after 1 a.m. in reference to an assault.
