Four Beaumont men were arrested after Beaumont Police investigated a suspiciously parked vehicle in a vacant lot in the 2600 block of Houston Street the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 16. 

According to Beaumont Police, the investigation led officers to 2.56 ounces of suspected synthetic marijuana and two firearms. One of the firearms was reported stolen out of the Beaumont Police Department.  All four subjects were arrested and transported to Jefferson County Jail.

Police in Vidor arrested 21-year-old Trevor Duane Edwards May 4 after the manager of a fast food establishment where Edwards once worked said the former employee snuck behind the counter and into the manager’s office, stealing a wad of cash and fleeing in spite of being spotted in the act.

The Jefferson County Grand Jury has indicted Beaumont attorney Kenneth Leigh Parker Jr. for tampering with a governmental record, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office reported Jan. 13.

Tuesday, July 29, BISD contract electrician Calvin Walker was indicted and arrested for perpetrating fraud against the Beaumont Independent School District and the city of Port Arthur, Jefferson County District Attorney Cory Crenshaw says.

The babysitter who was watching 5-year-old John Read of Vidor when he accidentally shot himself and died on Oct. 21 has been arrested, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Officers from the Orange Police Department Narcotics Division, the Pinehurst Police Department and the Orange County Pct. 2 Constable’s Office executed a search warrant at 2309 Riverside Dr. in Orange, only to be met with gunfire, according to reports from the OPD.
