Wynonna & the Big Noise

Wynonna Judd will make her first ever stop in Beaumont on Friday, Dec. 8, at Ford Arena with her band The Big Noise as the concert will feature a mix of holiday favorites and Wynonna’s biggest hits. To make it even more special, Ford Park will be hosting a special pre-concert Wine Tasting at Wynonna event. Tickets for the Wine Tasting at Wynonna event are just $15, and will include six samples of a diverse selection of wines along with a cheese and fruit display to cleanse your pallet. Doors for the wine tasting will open at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 8, and will remain open until 7 p.m.

Urban Pioneers at Neches Brewing Company Port Neches on December 2nd

Mix one part Texas fiddle and one part Tennessee banjo, add doghouse bass and a splash of guitar and you have a delicious cocktail for your ears known as the Urban Pioneers. Jared McGovern (banjo, vocals), Liz Sloan (fiddle, vocals) and Martin Sargent (bass) will return to perform at the Neches Brewing Company on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. This string band hammers out a variety of original songs that encompass old time hillbilly music, western swing, rockabilly and even a few Gypsy songs for good measure. Neches Brewing Company is at 1108 Port Neches Ave.

LN & The Crush

Head over to Luke’s Icehouse at 2325 Calder Ave. in Beaumont on Friday evening, Dec. 1 to check out local act LN & The Crush. Lead vocalist Ellen Radford, who was singing before she could talk and by the time she was 8, was sitting in with local bands belting out both classic and modern hits. She has performed with the likes of Johnny Winter, rock guitar legend George Lynch, Nic Armstrong, Vinny Appice of Black Sabbath, and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. The Crush consists of Axel Wisor on guitar, Chris Boaz on bass and drummer Zach Martin.

Four-time Texas Female Vocalist of the Year Bri Bagwell will perform at the Jefferson Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 16, and bring along some friends including Rich O’Toole, and The Broken Spokes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

Chicks with Hits are Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Boggus

Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Boggus will share the stage for a guitar-pull style acoustic show called Chicks With Hits. They’ll come together and play hit songs from their legendary careers. The tour will stop at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles on Friday, Nov. 17, at 8:30 p.m. Clark is the only Canadian female artist to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has more than 5 million albums.

Sebastian Bach at Jefferson Theatre

Eighties iconic rock vocalist Sebastian Bach will perform at the Jefferson Theatre in downtown Beaumont on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. Bach achieved mainstream success at a young age as the lead singer for Skid Row from 1987-96, who produced massive hits including “I Remember You,” “Youth Gone Wild,” “18 & Life” and “Slave to the Grind.” Bach then went on to become the first rock star to grace the Broadway stage, with starring roles in Jekyll & Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Show.

Morris Day of Morris Day & The Time

Fans of Purple Rain will want to purchase tickets to see Morris Day & The Time featuring a performance by Sheila E on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. at the Grand Event Center inside Golden Nugget in Lake Charles.

Summer doesn’t officially start until June 20, but as the air outside heats up, so does the local and regional concert calendar. From monster arena shows to outdoor pavilions and pool parties on down to small clubs, the 2017 summer lineup looks to have plenty of variety for music lovers of all kinds.

Beaumont has plenty to look forward to, especially at the downtown venues, as Texas country artists Bruce Robinson and brother Charlie perform on the “My Brother & Me Acoustic Tour” at the Jefferson Theatre on Thursday, July 13, with tickets starting at $25.

The 16th annual Port Neches RiverFest: Thunder on the Neches is officially underway at Riverfront Park in Port Neches and continues through Sunday, May 7. Sponsored by Neches Federal Credit Union, RiverFest features fantastic food, great music, vendors, the Mighty Thomas Carnival midway, plus the thrills, chills and spills of the tunnel power boat races on the Neches River.

Louisiana native Rod Melancon will perform two shows at the NBC on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. Both shows are free to attend, and his Saturday show will be with the full band. Sunday, Melancon will perform solo.
