For those who have yet to experience a show inside the state-of-the-art, 1,500-seat world class performing arts facility known as the Lutcher Theater at 707 Main Ave. in Orange, here’s your chance.

“We are excited to kick off this upcoming season and currently have individual show tickets on sale,” said Lutcher Theater Managing Director Lynae Sanford. “We have a variety of outstanding shows with something for everyone and are looking forward to bringing the Broadway series and other amazing shows to our community!”

The Lutcher Theater’s 2022-23 season has 10 incredible events, including multiple national tours of Broadway shows, holiday favorites, award-winning musical artists and an a cappella sensation!

It all begins Saturday, Oct. 22, with “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.,” the ultimate tribute to the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Then comes Blue Man Group followed by “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer The Musical;” “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas;” “My Fair Lady;” “The Simon & Garfunkel Story;” “Voctave;” “Anastasia;" Jimmy Fortune with Special Guests, The Malpass Brothers; and “Tootsie.”

Marketing Manager Andy McCall is thrilled about the entire lineup, especially the shows that tell the stories of legendary musicians.

“Million Dollar Quartet Christmas,” which is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29, tells the fortuitous twist of faith, rock and roll newcomers and soon to be legends Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, who all stop by their famous Memphis recording studio alma mater on the same wintry evening.

“I was able to see the ‘Simon & Garfunkel Story’ in Tyler and I was blown away how much they look and sound like Paul Simon and Andy Garfunkel,” said McCall. “Some may even argue they are better than the originals. On Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, the audience will see a unique and immersive show. It’s really fascinating. The rendition of songs, ‘The Sounds of Silence’ and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ will give you chills.”

Speaking of chills, Voctave is an 11-member a capella sensation with more than 150 million socials media views. Their latest album, “The Spirit of the Season Deluxe Edition,” reached No. 6 on the Billboard charts. Hear their voices Saturday, March 4, 2023.

“We have been fielding a lot of calls about Blue Man Group,” said McCall. “I have never seen them, but they are extremely popular. They were here for three shows a few years ago and all three sold out. And this show, Thursday, Oct. 30, is titled ‘Still Blue. The Rest is New.’ is a different show. It will definitely be one to watch.”

Three shows will come to life from screen to stage in “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer The Musical” on Saturday, Nov. 19, “Anastasia” on March 30-31, 2023, and the season-ender, “Tootsie” on Monday, May 1, 2023.

McCall explained the season is filled with entertainment, from start to finish, and the Lutcher is a fantastic venue to see any show.

“We are the largest presenter of a Broadway series from Houston to New Orleans,” said McCall. “My parents came from Dallas last year to see ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’ It was their first time seeing a show in the Lutcher and there wasn’t a dry eye in the theater. My parents said it was the best show they have ever seen.”

For Broadway fans, from Lincoln Center Theater and director Bartlett Sher comes “a sumptuous new production of the most perfect musical of all time” in Lerner & Lowew’s “My Fair Lady” on Monday, Dec. 5. Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” the production tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” But who is really being transformed?

Single show tickets, which start at $35, are available online at lutcher.org. Premiere and Spotlight packages can also be purchased and includes prime seating and early renewals of the following season.

“We are looking forward to bringing the Broadway series and other amazing shows to our community,” said Sanford. “The Lutcher offers a world class experience and unforgettable memories to each and every audience member.”
