Job seekers are invited to a hospitality industry job fair Tuesday, June 8, as the Sabine Area Restaurant Association, in collaboration with the Texas Restaurant Association and Texas Workforce Commission, brings together employers in the restaurant and service sectors for a hiring event. The job fair will take place from 2-6 p.m. at the MCM Eleganté Hotel (2355 Interstate 10) in Beaumont. The job fair is free and open to the public.

“The hospitality industry is poised to be a major contributor to job growth in the area, and the Sabine Area Restaurant Association joins state agencies in recognizing that workforce development is a priority in Southeast Texas,” said Chef Charles Duit, President of the Sabine Area Restaurant Association. “In hospitality, there is something for everyone, whether you’re looking for full-time employment or seasonal work with all types of career paths and positions in all parts of the city.”

Employers from all sectors of the hospitality industry are expected to participate. Jobs will range from entry-level to management. The hospitality industry is expected to continue to grow in 2021, which places even more pressure on the need for workers. Additionally, attendees who submit applications at the job fair will receive free test credits to take the Texas Food Handlers’ and TABC license at no charge.
