According to reports from the Beaumont Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Betty Lane on Friday, Aug. 5, shortly before 11 p.m. in reference to a sexual assault in progress. The complaining witness stated that she walked in to find Cedric Madison sexually assaulting her infant child.

“Crime Stoppers and The Examiner are teaming up to fight the drug problem in Southeast Texas,” Beaumont Police Officer Carol Riley of Crime Stoppers said.

Friday, Aug. 5, at 7:45 a.m., Beaumont narcotics detectives executed a narcotics search and arrest warrant at an apartment in the 2100 block of McFaddin St. SWAT made entry into the house and secured three residents inside. Once the scene was secured, a search of the residence revealed powder cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, two handguns, and over $2,000 cash.
