Three Mid-County men have been indicted by a Jefferson County Grand Jury in separate cases on charges ranging from physical to sexual violence against children and, in one of the cases, against an intellectually challenged 20-year-old.

Charles Orlando Betancourt, 31, of Port Neches was indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child March 29 stemming from accusations he sexually assaulted his 3-year-old daughter on multiple occasions.

According to Jefferson County Assistant District Attorney Cory Kneeland, a March 15 indictment on one count of third-degree felony theft has been dropped against Beaumont Independent School District special education teacher Alisa Boutte. Kneeland said the prosecuting agency came into information that caused the District Attorney’s Office to drop all charges the week of March 27.

1. Nathaniel Lee Allemang is a 22-year-old white male wanted for possession of controlled substance – $100,000 bond; unlawfully carrying a weapon – $2,000 bond; and possession of marijuana – $1,000 bond.
