According to reports from the Orange Police Department, one officer made two separate arrests in a single stop and another officer investigated an attack on three individuals inside a vehicle who got more than they bargained for when stopping for snacks.

On Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 4:27 a.m., the Port Arthur Police Department received a report of a window being shot. Upon arrival, officers were told a woman and her boyfriend had been in a verbal altercation with a male subject, but had forced him to leave the residence. Shortly after, the couple was standing in their living room when a gun shot broke the window they were standing near.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:39 p.m., an off-duty officer working security at Classic Chevrolet on Eastex Freeway in Beaumont heard loud banging inside the new construction area, according to a press release.

A local man was injured while assisting an officer investigating a call reporting a disturbance at a Vidor apartment complex on Aug. 15. The man jumped in to help the law enforcer, who was struggling with a suspect he believed was physically abusing a woman inside the apartment, the Vidor Police Department reports.

A man described by police as a "good Samaritan" scared off an attacker trying to drag a 43-year-old Beaumont woman into some bushes after ambushing her during her morning jog on Jan. 16, police report. The jogger suffered some emotional trauma and minor injuries, Beaumont Police Department Sgt. Rob Flores said, but things could have been a lot worse, even deadly, if not for the good Samaritan's actions and the woman's defensive plan of action.

A homeless Vidor man was arrested after an altercation at an apartment complex on Orange Street in Vidor on Jan. 2 in which the man allegedly attacked multiple victims while in possession of two hatchets and a knife, reports the Vidor Police Department.
